Twins?

OK, so Melodie LOVES new Disney cartoon, Sofia the First
Sofia The First
It's a cute show. Nothing out of the ordinary for Disney, which for anybody who knows me & the hubby...we love the mouse! :-D

The more I look at this princess though...I see MY daughter! Give Mellie blue eyes & bam! Kinda scary some days! Here's a picture of her dressed up as a princess...tell me what you think? :-D

BZZZ BZZZ

Yes, it's busy bee time in our house.

Soccer, taekwondo, getting ready for HALLOWEEN!!

You know, important stuff!

I've bought the materials for our little "Wreck-It-Ralph" group! (I'm actually relieved that they decided NOT to be the wicked witch, flying monkey, & Winkie soldier from Wizard of Oz...that was looking complicated).

Now to get 'em together, & make a nifty post...which I'm SO excited to be sharing with Danielle at Blissful & Domestic as a guest post in October! WOOT!

But in the meantime, I'll keep up what I can! I've got the pictures of my pretty pantry...that I organized a month ago *eep* but I'm going to add ONE more...that shows I'm KEEPING it that way, then I'll share for all!

Teensy, tiny change

It doesn't matter how small the change, if it's for the better, it's worth doing.

There's a difference!!

OK, I know it's been asked before, but I REALLY want to know...what is the difference between spaghetti & pizza sauce?

Yes, they're both tomato based sauces, with similar seasonings. I know one is thicker. Food snobs usual answers on forums are condescending & useless as far as getting the answer.

So seriously...what's the difference between the sauce for

THIS:

  And THIS:

Cause if I hear one more person say it's the same...tell me, when you're eating THIS:

And you try it at home with canned spaghetti sauce...it's gross, isn't it? It's more than just being thinner. There's a seasoning difference. No debate on the difference between uncooked & pre-cooked sauces needed, I get it. I just want to know why I can buy a can of spaghetti sauce for $1 & have to pay the same amount, if not more, for a jar HALF THE SIZE, of pizza sauce...if it's the same?

Bank fee rant...

OK, so yes, I understand the importance of not overdrawing my bank account.

Really.

I've robbed Peter to pay Paul for years & juggled money here & there to make ends meet.

But when I'm JUST getting caught up, and *SURPRISE* my daughter & I get sick, & we go to the Dr the night before my check direct deposits & the bank charges me fees because my available balance shows a potential negative.

Doesn't ever GO into the negative, because those posts are still pending & my check is IN there, just MIGHT. REALLY! And because there are other things pending, I get a charge for EACH ONE!! They still haven't cleared my account, they're still pending. But I've been charged more than they're worth as a fee!

And they wonder why the poor stay poor. Blah!

Just healthier...

I am getting...frustrated at my weight. It's been an issue with me for the last 20 years. Maybe even before then. I keep reading posts, articles, etc, of folks that did THIS, or THAT to lose weight. Some tips are for busy moms. Some are for moms on a budget. But I see TIPS. HOW to do it. Or the weight loss is less than 20 lbs. when it's a success story. Or if it's a lot of weight, it was with kids OR on a budget. Again, never both.

But then, as I log in to Blogger, I see the post of a friend of mine. The Life of a Christian Girl
And the verse in it gives me pause.

1 Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.' "

It encourages me. Yes, I still need to lose weight. For health reasons if nothing else. But I don't have to have a goal of skinny, or a certain clothing size. Just healthier. Suddenly, the pressure is off.
